Backend engineer building reliable systems in Go and Python, from edge devices to production AI.

Guilherme Balduino Lopes is a backend software engineer with 5+ years of experience building services and connected systems in Go and Python, in domains where correctness, reliability, and compliance are business-critical. Most recently, as tech lead at Envor, he led the backend of a multi-tenant LLM platform (13 Go services and 3 MCP connector servers on PostgreSQL/pgvector) and built a number-portability gateway live across 3 telecom operators. Earlier, he owned a 1,500+ device IoT fleet from C/C++ firmware to the Python backend. That edge-to-cloud perspective is what he now brings to applied AI, which he is deepening through postgraduate studies at UNIPDS.

Current Focus

  • Design and operate Go and Python backend services, from API design to production operations.
  • Bring LLMs, RAG, MCP, and AI agents into production software, with tenant isolation, service authentication, and PII redaction built in.
  • Connect edge devices and cloud platforms, drawing on firmware, IoT fleet, and observability experience.
  • Raise the engineering bar with architecture decision records, deep automated test suites, and mutation testing as a merge gate.
